AATC Trinity
The AATC Trinity is a guiding principle of the Asian American Theater Company’s artistic programming. In a world of stilted and stereotypical portrayals of Asian Americans, the AATC Trinity illustrates our core artistic areas that bring back a three-dimensional representation of Americans with Asian heritage.
1. Reclamation of History: Plays that re-tell the history of America’s Asian heritage from a unique viewpoint.
2. Mimesis: Plays that break negative stereotypes by dissipating and debunking their destructive power.
3. Breaking Boundaries: Plays that expand the artistic boundaries for Asian American artists and stories.
